My time with the Historical Manuscripts and Photographs collection was great, I learned a lot about the process of assessing the items and keeping track of them when they're sent out for conservation, as well as determining what information about each item is pertinent and how to record it.

I spent 50 hours working with the Waller negatives and the Editorial Cartoon collection, 50 hours I enjoyed and I'm excited to see the next stage of the process in the Digitization lab. After an 8 week break (for a conference, British Studies, and quick visit with the family) I'll begin the 100 hour portion of my practicum in the Digi lab of McCain Library and Archives. It's something I'm really looking forward to.
