About Mary
I'm working on my Master's in Library and Information Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. Along with my master's I'm getting a certificate in Archives and Special Collections, this practicum is a requirement for the certificate.

I am a graduate assistant for the School of Library and Information Science at Southern Miss and I have been for two years. As a grad assistant I teach a 201: Information Literacy class to undergrads twice a semester (it's an 8 week class), and I'll be starting my third semester of teaching this fall. I was also the Teaching Assistant for the LIS class of the British Studies Program this past summer.

While I currently live in Hattiesburg, Mississippi I am from a small(ish) town outside of Albany, New York. Down here I tend to just say I'm from Upstate New York, even though most people from the Albany area consider it to be the Capital Region and Upstate to be about an hour north of us. But that's an argument unto itself and just depends on who you ask.
